As early as the 1950s, the then agriculture with a small attached inn was owned by Josef Dobernig senior. used gastronomically. This was in 1967 to his son, Josef jun. Dobernig passed and the old farmhouse was converted. With the establishment of guest rooms, guests from all over the world could now be accommodated. With the construction of the large swimming pool in 1972, we were able to offer our guests something special and they had the opportunity to go swimming or relax on site.

A few years later, the farm with animals was completely discontinued and the former stable building was converted into a guesthouse, which resulted in even more guest rooms. Josef Dobernig jun. and his wife Anna ran the pension and the inn with full passion and gradually invested more and more in the infrastructure of the business.

In 1994 the business was handed over to Klaus Dobernig and his wife Sabine, who have been running the business since then in the third generation. When the inn was closed in 2003, the focus has since been on accommodation with breakfast. Three years later there was a general renovation of the company, rooms and bathrooms were completely renovated and in the following years, too, they kept up with the times and renewed a lot.

However, not only did they focus on current trends in terms of furnishings and fittings, they also stayed up to date with bookings and advertising, with the focus on the Internet and social media.

With the first traveling coffee house in Carinthia, the Capeccino, Sabine Dobernig started another project in 2016. More information on this at www.capeccino.at

The Dobernig family business can therefore look back on more than 50 years of history as a hotel business. During this time, thousands and thousands of guests have been looked after and they have been given a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

We hope to see you soon in our guesthouse!
